KUNG-FU FIGHTING

So I was nervous. Dead Sexy Mag profiled this production in our July issue.
Was this going to live up to the expectations? Musicals can go only 2 ways right?
We all know how wrong they can go..

So my verdict?
YES, YES and YES!
MMLJWW is folksy, it's fun, it's charming, it's honest and it's a crowd pleaser!

David Hein and Irene Carl have created a very sweet and endearing love musical for his mothers. The crowd fell in love and how could they not with the well thought out lyrics, perfect casting (wonderful mix of pros and first timers) and perfect pacing that all Fringe Shows should try to follow.

David obviously loves his mums, that is clear, him and his wife have also made this production so family friendly that it makes like having Lesbian Jewish Wiccan moms is the most normal thing in the world.

All the roles are perfectly cast I must say, and even the supporting nameless characters are given great lines proving that David is willing to share the wealth. One of the best lines is delivered by a Hooters waitress for example.

Any complaints?
Well I would only say that in this musical it seems that everyone is almost too perfect, too perky. But hey, in these troubled times we all need a massive injection of fun and positivity.
MMLJWW is just what the doctor ordered!

My suggestion?
GO SEE IT. That is if you can still get tickets..
Once you have had your fill of all the drama, pretentiousness and political satire that the Fringe is famous for come down to Bread and Circus for this wonderful pick me up!
There is something to entertain everyone in this show (except Albertans).
